windows all holiday-ed up

the owner had this ridiculously cute puppy, Henry - so he got painted into the window, too. I couldn't stop myself.

one part gruesome, one part fun

I suppose it's time I did something with those deer skulls I found last winter - these two will be shown at the Robert Daniel Gallery in Tacoma this weekend. There's nothing more satisfying than getting paint over every little curve of those turbinates.

(what? you don't know what turbinates are? don't worry, i didn't either. but they're lovely little spongy bones inside your nose, and these deer skulls had lots of 'em.)

i found my paint!

after an epic cross-country drive (five national parks, two flat tires, one busted rim!) and making sure my bikes still work once i got here in seattle, i finally dug out my brushes and put some things up in my etsy store!

I'm back - and I'm on the West Coast!

After an epic move and a great deal of adventures, the move is over. We're safe and sound on the west coast with paints in hand - time to scavenge for some scrap wood for new paintings!
