architect Matthew Radune and photographer Gregory Holm worked together to create 'ice house'. even though this house is found in a neighborhood of Detroit where 1 in 4 homes is in disrepair or abandoned, Radune keeps his chin up and states this artwork is a positive expression of hope for a renewal in this neighborhood and for the creativity architecture like this inspires.

i am not sure an icy house instills a sense of hopefulness in me for residential detroit neighborhoods. I am, however, completely sold on the idea that art on large scales in unexpected places by people who are not artists is fantastic.
