alexa meade was at g-40 opening night doing her thing for all to see. there was a live feed camera to establish the disconnect and context. it was such a strange thing to see....cool and strange. the distance that the camera brings is vital to the completion of this idea. seeing the folks there in front of you with visible brushstrokes is unnatural and there is a certain tension built up...good tension. kind of like watching a magic trick explained...kind of. i am still interested in the photos though, the magic of her work is still very much alive!
